Pottsville City is one of the city of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, located towards the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. It is home to over 15549 people (2000 census). Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 14405, It is the 53rd largest by population in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.21 mi˛ (10.9 sq km), it is the 139th largest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.
