Pottstown Borough is a borough in the Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is home to over 21859 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 21288, making it the 37th most populous in Pennsylvania. The borough has a total area of 4.92 miē (12.74 kmē), of which, 4.83 square miles (12.51 kmē) of it is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 kmē) of it is water, it is the 113th largest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

The racial or ethnic makeup of the borough was 17343 White, 3291 Black or African American, 50 American Indian, 142 Asian, 19 Native Hawaiian, 601 from two or more races and 413 Ohter races.
