Portola City, Plumas County, California is a city located in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 2227 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 2069, It is the 300th smallest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.24 sq mi (5.8 sq km), it is the 310th smallest in terms of geographical size.
