Portland City is a city located in Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas counties, Oregon, in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 529121. The July 2008 population estimate is 557706, It is most populous in Oregon. The city encompasses an area of 145.37 sq mi (376.51 sq km ), of which, 134.32 square miles (347.89 sq km) of it is land and 11.05 square miles (28.62 sq km) of it is water, it is the largest by area in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is ranks first in the size of its inland waterways in Oregon.
