Portage Borough, Cambria County, Pennsylvania is a borough located in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 2837. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the borough is 2581, making it the 482nd most populous in Pennsylvania. The borough has a total area of 0.67 square miles (1.74 kmē), it is the 455th smallest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2837 people, 1232 households, and 757 families residing in the borough. The population density was 4262.7 people per square mile (1645.84/kmē), it would be the 209th most densely populated borough in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.
