Port Republic City is a city in the Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 1037 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 1215, It is the 31st least populous in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The city extends throughout a territory of 8.68 mi˛ (22.48 square kilometre ), of which, 7.62 square miles (19.74 square kilometre) of it is land and 1.05 square miles (2.72 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 52nd largest by total area in New Jersey.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 1037 people, 457 households, and 284 families residing in the city. The population density was 136 people per square mile (52.51/km˛), it is New Jersey's sixth least densely populated city. There were 389 housing units at an average density of 51 per square mile (19.69/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.82 persons, and the average family size was 3.17 persons. In the city Population was distributed with 24% under the age of 18, 8% from 18 to 24, 26.1% from 25 to 44, 29.9% from 45 to 64, and 12% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 96.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.1 males. The median age was 41.3 years, The median age of males was 40.4 years, for females the median age was 42.1 years. The racial makeup of the city was 95.08% White, 1.64% Black or African American, 0.39% American Indian, 0.58% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 1.64% from two or more races and 0.68% Other races.
