Port Orange City is a city located in the Volusia County, Florida, United States. The population of the city was 45823 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 54616, It is the 55th largest in terms of population. It has total area of 26.67 sq mi (69.07 kmē), of which, 24.71 square miles (64 kmē) of it is land and 1.97 square miles (5.1 kmē) of it is water, it is the 53rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 45823 people in the city, organized into 19574 households, and 13234 families living in the city. The population density was 1854.7 people per square mile (716.1/kmē), it is 408th most densely populated city in Florida.
