Port Carbon Borough is a borough located in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 2019. The July 2008 population estimate is 1747, making it the 616th most populous in Pennsylvania. The borough extends throughout a territory of 0.77 sq mi (1.99 sq km ), giving it the 875th largest by total area among Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2019 residents, 846 households, and 578 families in the borough. The population density was 2638.6 people per square mile (1018.77/kmē), it is 483rd most densely populated borough in Pennsylvania.
