Poplarville City is one of the city of Pearl River County, Mississippi, located towards the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 2601. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 3003, It is the 99th most populous in the U.S. state of Mississippi. The city encompasses an area of 3.86 square miles (10 sq km ), of which, 3.85 square miles (9.97 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 129th largest by total area in Mississippi.
