Pompton Lakes Borough is a borough located in the Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. In 2000, borough's population was 10640 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the borough is 11031, It is New Jersey's 158th largest by population . The borough spans an area of 3.16 square miles (8.18 kmē), of which, 2.97 square miles (7.69 kmē) of it is land and 0.19 square miles (0.49 kmē) of it is water, it is the 180th largest in terms of geographical size.
