Polk County is a United States county located in the United States of Tennessee. The population of county in 2000 stood at 16050 as per the Census data. The county comprises an area of 442.35 mi˛ (1145.68 square kilometre), of which, 435.05 square miles (1126.77 square kilometre) of it is land and 7.3 square miles (18.91 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 49th largest by size in Tennessee.
