Pocahontas City is a United States city located in the Pocahontas County, Iowa, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1970 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 1799, making it Iowa's 160th largest. The city comprises an area of 1.86 sq mi (4.82 square kilometre), it is the 203rd largest in terms of geographical size.
