Plymouth City, Michigan is a city of the Wayne County, Michigan, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 9022 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 8487, It is the 127th most populous in the U.S. state of Michigan. The city has a total area of 2.24 sq mi (5.8 sq km), of which, 2.23 square miles (5.78 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 299th largest by total area among Michigan.
