Platteville City is a United States city located in the Grant County, Wisconsin, United States. In 2000, the population was 9989. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 10297, making it Wisconsin's 76th largest. The city comprises an area of 4.2 mi˛ (10.88 square kilometre), it is the 155th largest by area in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.
