Plainville City is a city in the Rooks County, Kansas, United States. As of 2000 the population was 2029. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 1821, It is Kansas's 123rd largest by population . The city encompasses an area of 1.21 mi˛ (3.13 square kilometre), it is the 149th largest by area in the U.S. state of Kansas.
