Plainville City is one of the city of Gordon County, Georgia, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 257. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 272, making it the 80th least populous in Georgia. The city comprises an area of 0.59 square miles (1.53 sq km), making it the 26th smallest by size in Georgia.
