Plains Town is one of the town of Sanders County, Montana, located towards the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Plains Town is home to 1126 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 1244, It is the 79th largest by population in the U.S. state of Montana. The town spans an area of 0.56 sq mi (1.45 kmē), giving it the 58th smallest by total area among Montana.
