Pipestone City is a city located in Pipestone County, Minnesota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 4280 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 4131, giving it the 141st largest population among Minnesota. It has total area of 3.92 mi˛ (10.15 square kilometre), giving it the 195th largest by total area among Minnesota.
