The census designated place has a total area of 12.82 sq mi (33.2 sq km), of which, 11.61 square miles (30.07 sq km) of it is land and 1.22 square miles (3.16 sq km) of it is water, it is the 86th largest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.
