Pinal County is one of the 15 county of Arizona, located towards the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 179727 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 327301, It is third most populous county in Arizona. The county encompasses an area of 5374.09 sq mi (13918.83 sq km ), of which, 5369.59 square miles (13907.17 sq km) of it is land and 4.5 square miles (11.65 sq km) of it is water, it is the tenth largest by area in the U.S. state of Arizona.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 179727 people, 61364 households, and 45211 families residing in the county. The population density was 33.5 people per square mile (12.93/kmē), it is the third most populated county in terms of population density. There were 81154 housing units at an average density of 15.1 per square mile (5.83/kmē). The average household size was 2.68 persons, and the average family size was 3.09 persons. In the county the population was distributed as follows: 25.1% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 27.3% from 25 to 44, 22.7% from 45 to 64, and 16.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 114.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 117 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 327301, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 85.96% White, 4.32% Black or African American, 6.19% American Indian, 1.68% Asian, 0.14% Native Hawaiian, and 1.72% from two or more races.
