Piermont Village is a city in the Rockland County, New York, United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 2607 as per the Census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 2566, making it New York's 509th largest. The city encompasses an area of 1.15 sq mi (2.98 kmē ), of which, 0.67 square miles (1.74 kmē) of it is land and 0.48 square miles (1.24 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 297th smallest by total area in New York.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2607 people, 1189 households, and 673 families residing in the city. The population density was 3878.9 people per square mile (1497.65/kmē), it is New York's 181st most densely populated city. There were 1320 housing units at an average density of 1970.1 per square mile (760.66/kmē). The average household size was 2.19 persons, and the average family size was 2.87 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 19.2% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 32.7% from 25 to 44, 30.5% from 45 to 64, and 11.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 100.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.3 males. The median age is 40.5 years, the median age of male residents at 38.9 and the median age of female residents at 42.1. The racial makeup of the city was 78.75% White, 4.72% Black or African American, 0.19% American Indian, 7.79% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 3.07% from two or more races and 5.49% Other races.
