Phillips County is a United States county located in the United States of Kansas. Phillips County had an official population of 6001 in 2000. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 5339, It is the 66th largest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 894.81 square miles (2317.55 square kilometre), of which, 886.23 square miles (2295.33 square kilometre) of it is land and 8.58 square miles (22.22 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 34th largest by area in the U.S. state of Kansas.
