Phillips City is a city located in Price County, Wisconsin, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. Phillips City had an official population of 1675 in 2000. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 1407, giving it the 268th largest population among Wisconsin. The city extends throughout a territory of 3.47 square miles (8.99 kmē ), of which, 2.77 square miles (7.17 kmē) of it is land and 0.71 square miles (1.84 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 192nd largest by total area in Wisconsin.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 1675 residents, 76 households, and 48 families in the city. The population density was 605.5 people per square mile (233.78/kmē), giving it the 401st most densely populated city among the Wisconsin. There were 839 housing units at an average density of 302.9 per square mile (116.95/kmē). The average household size was 2.14 and the average family size was 2.89. The racial makeup of the city was 1624 White, Black or African American, 20 American Indian, 12 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 17 from two or more races and 2 Ohter races.
