According to the 2000 census it had a population of 2944 inhabitants. It is the 34th largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 4.76 mi˛ (12.33 sq km), of which, 4.74 square miles (12.28 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, making it the 25th largest by size in New Hampshire.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2944 people in the census designated place, organized into 1225 households, and 719 families residing in the census designated place.
