Perry County, Tennessee is a county located in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 7631 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 7753, making it Tennessee's sixth smallest county. The county encompasses an area of 422.9 sq mi (1095.31 kmē ), of which, 414.89 square miles (1074.56 kmē) of it is land and 8 square miles (20.72 kmē) of it is water, it is the 57th largest by area in the U.S. state of Tennessee.

The population density was 18.4 people per square mile (7.1/kmē), it is the least populated county in terms of population density.
