Perry County is a county in the United States of Pennsylvania. As of 2000 the population was 43602. The July 2008 population estimate is 45185, making it Pennsylvania's 20th smallest county. It covers total area of 555.77 sq mi (1439.44 square kilometre), of which, 553.52 square miles (1433.61 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.25 square miles (5.83 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 42nd largest by total area in Pennsylvania.

The population density was 78.8 people per square mile (30.42/kmē), it is Pennsylvania's 45th most densely populated county. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 25.5% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 29.8% from 25 to 44, 25.1% from 45 to 64, and 12.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 98.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.9 males. The July 2008 population estimate is 45185, The racial makeup of the county was 44367 White, 343 Black or African American, 61 American Indian, 115 Asian, 5 Native Hawaiian, and 294 from two or more races.
