Perkins County is a county located in the United States of Nebraska. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 3200 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 2884, It is the 25th least populous county in the U.S. state of Nebraska. The county spans an area of 884.27 mi˛ (2290.25 square kilometre), of which, 883.18 square miles (2287.43 square kilometre) of it is land and 1.1 square miles (2.85 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 22nd largest by total area in Nebraska.

For every 100 males there were 99.3 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 104.4 females. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 2884, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 98.86% White, 0.03% Black or African American, 0.35% American Indian, 0.17% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 0.59% from two or more races.
