Pequot Lakes City is a city in the Crow Wing County, Minnesota, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 947 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 1925, giving it the 347th largest population among Minnesota. The city comprises an area of 1.68 mi˛ (4.35 sq km), of which, 1.45 square miles (3.76 sq km) of it is land and 0.23 square miles (0.6 sq km) of it is water, making it Minnesota's 354th largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 947 people in the city, organized into 479 households, and 232 families residing in the city. The population density was 653.8 people per square mile (252.43/km˛), making it the 426th most densely populated city in Minnesota. There were 564 housing units at an average density of 389 per square mile (150.19/km˛). The average household size was 1.96 and the average family size was 2.81. The racial makeup of the city was 98.1% White, 1.06% Black or African American, 0.32% American Indian, 0.32% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0.11% from two or more races and 0.11% Other races.
