Pepin County is a county in the United States of Wisconsin. Pepin County had an official population of 7213 in 2000. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 7357, making it the fourth least populous county in Wisconsin. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 248.68 square miles (644.08 sq km), of which, 232.28 square miles (601.6 sq km) of it is land and 16.4 square miles (42.48 sq km) of it is water, making it the smallest by size in Wisconsin.

As of the census of 2000, there were 7213 people, 2759 households, and 1934 families residing in the county. The population density was 31.1 people per square mile (12.01/kmē), making it the 49th most densely populated county in Wisconsin. There were 3036 housing units at an average density of 13.1 per square mile (5.06/kmē). The average household size was 2.57 people, and the average family size was 3.13 people. The population's age distribution was 26.5% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 25.9% from 25 to 44, 22.8% from 45 to 64, and 16.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 101.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.2 males. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 7357, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 98.55% White, 0.23% Black or African American, 0.33% American Indian, 0.2% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, and 0.65% from two or more races.
