Peoria City is a United States city located in the Maricopa and Yavapai counties, Arizona, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 108364 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 157960, It is the ninth largest in terms of population. It covers total area of 141.68 square miles (366.95 sq km), of which, 138.22 square miles (357.99 sq km) of it is land and 3.46 square miles (8.96 sq km) of it is water, making it the eighth largest by size in Arizona. It is ranks first in the size of its inland waterways in Arizona.
