Penn Yan Village is a city located in Yates County, New York, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Penn Yan Village is home to 5219 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 5162, It is New York's 323rd largest by population . The city has a total area of 2.33 square miles (6.03 sq km), of which, 2.27 square miles (5.88 sq km) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 479th largest by total area among New York.
