Pendleton County, Kentucky is a county of the United States of Kentucky. The county has a population of 14390 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 14992, giving it the 76th largest population among Kentucky's county. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 281.87 sq mi (730.04 sq km), of which, 280.54 square miles (726.6 sq km) of it is land and 1.33 square miles (3.44 sq km) of it is water, it is the 76th largest by area in the U.S. state of Kentucky.


According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 14390 people, 5170 households, and 3971 families living in the county. The population density was 51.3 people per square mile (19.81/kmē), it is Kentucky's 69th most densely populated county. There were 5756 housing units at an average density of 20.5 per square mile (7.92/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.75 persons, and the average family size was 3.14 persons. In the county Age distribution was 28.4% under the age of 18, 8.5% from 18 to 24, 31.2% from 25 to 44, 21.5% from 45 to 64, and 10.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 100.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.9 males. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 14992, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 14735 White, 119 Black or African American, 32 American Indian, 23 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, and 82 from two or more races.
