Pend Oreille County is a county in the United States of Washington. The county has a population of 11732 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 12859, It is Washington's seventh least populous county. It covers total area of 1425.32 sq mi (3691.56 kmē), of which, 1400.27 square miles (3626.68 kmē) of it is land and 25.05 square miles (64.88 kmē) of it is water, it is the 25th largest by area in the U.S. state of Washington.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 11732 residents, 4639 households, and 3260 families in the county. The population density was 8.4 people per square mile (3.24/kmē), it is the seventh least populated county in terms of population density. There were 6608 housing units at an average density of 4.7 per square mile (1.81/kmē). The average household size was 2.51 persons, and the average family size was 2.98 persons. In the county the population was distributed as follows: 26.3% under the age of 18, 5.5% from 18 to 24, 23.8% from 25 to 44, 29.5% from 45 to 64, and 14.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 100.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.6 males. The July 2008 population estimate is 12859, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 11990 White, 60 Black or African American, 392 American Indian, 78 Asian, 24 Native Hawaiian, and 315 from two or more races.
