Pembroke Pines City is a United States city located in the Broward County, Florida, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 137427 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 145661, It is the tenth most populous in the U.S. state of Florida. The city has a total area of 34.44 square miles (89.2 sq km), of which, 33.05 square miles (85.6 sq km) of it is land and 1.38 square miles (3.57 sq km) of it is water, it is the 37th largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 137427 people in the city, organized into 51989 households, and 36835 families residing in the city. The population density was 4157.6 people per square mile (1605.26/kmē), it is 173rd most densely populated city in Florida.
