Pelion Town is a one of the Lexington County, South Carolina, located in Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The population of town in 2000 stood at 553 as per the Census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 593, It is 98th least populous in South Carolina. The town extends throughout a territory of 3.56 sq mi (9.22 kmē ), of which, 3.46 square miles (8.96 kmē) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 kmē) of it is water, it is the 155th largest by area in the U.S. state of South Carolina.

As of the census of 2000, there were 553 people, 192 households, and 147 families living in the town. The population density was 159.7 people per square mile (61.66/kmē), making its South Carolina's 47th least densely populated town.
