Pearland City is a city located in the Brazoria, Harris and Fort Bend counties, Texas, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 37640 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 82903, giving it the 61st largest population among Texas. It covers total area of 39.36 miē (101.94 kmē), of which, 39.33 square miles (101.86 kmē) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 51st largest by total area among Texas.

As of the census of 2000, there were 37640 people, 13192 households, and 10654 families living in the city. The population density was 957 people per square mile (369.5/kmē), giving it the 622nd most densely populated city among the Texas. There were 13922 housing units at an average density of 354 per square mile (136.68/kmē). The average household size was 2.84 and the average family size was 3.17.
