Paxtang Borough is a United States borough located in the Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States. As per the 2000 census, borough has a population of 1570 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 1486, making it the 708th most populous in Pennsylvania. Its area is just over 0.42 mi˛ (1.09 sq km), it is the 249th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1570 people in the borough, organized into 670 households, and 439 families residing in the borough. The population density was 3753.6 people per square mile (1449.27/km˛), making its Pennsylvania's 264th most densely populated borough. There were 703 housing units at an average density of 1673.8 per square mile (646.26/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.34 persons, and the average family size was 2.91 persons.
