Paulsboro Borough is one of the borough of Gloucester County, New Jersey, located towards the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Paulsboro Borough is home to 6160 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 6075, It is the 255th largest in terms of population. The borough extends throughout a territory of 2.62 sq mi (6.79 sq km ), of which, 1.96 square miles (5.08 sq km) of it is land and 0.66 square miles (1.71 sq km) of it is water, it is the 238th largest in terms of geographical size.

In the borough the population was distributed as follows: 28.8% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 29.8% from 25 to 44, 19.3% from 45 to 64, and 13.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 88.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 81.7 males. The median age is 34.3 years, the median age of male residents at 32.2 and the median age of female residents at 35.9. The racial makeup of the borough was 3915 White, 1949 Black or African American, 15 American Indian, 20 Asian, 6 Native Hawaiian, 174 from two or more races and 81 Ohter races.
