Patterson City is a city located in the St. Mary Parish, Louisiana, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 5130 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 5271 in July 2008, It is the 105th most populous in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The city spans an area of 2.46 square miles (6.37 kmē), making it the 223rd largest by size in Louisiana.
