Passaic County, New Jersey is a county located in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. It is home to over 489049 people (2000 census). It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 490948, It is ninth most populous county in New Jersey. It has total area of 197.05 sq mi (510.36 square kilometre), of which, 185.29 square miles (479.9 square kilometre) of it is land and 11.76 square miles (30.46 square kilometre) of it is water, making it New Jersey's fourth smallest county by total area.
