Park County is a one of the county from Montana's 56 counties, located in Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The population of county in 2000 stood at 15694 as per the Census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 16189, making it the 12th most populous county in Montana. Its area is just over 2813.59 mi˛ (7287.16 sq km), of which, 2802.41 square miles (7258.21 sq km) of it is land and 11.18 square miles (28.96 sq km) of it is water, it is the 19th largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 15694 people in the county, organized into 6828 households, and 4223 families living in the county. The population density was 5.6 people per square mile (2.16/km˛), it is Montana's 13th most densely populated county. There were 8247 housing units at an average density of 2.9 per square mile (1.12/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.27 persons, and the average family size was 2.88 persons. In the county the population was distributed as follows: 23.5% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 27.9% from 25 to 44, 27.1% from 45 to 64, and 14.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 97.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.1 males. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 16189, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 15646 White, 87 Black or African American, 206 American Indian, 61 Asian, 4 Native Hawaiian, and 185 from two or more races.
