Parachute Town is a one of the Garfield County, Colorado, located in Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The town has a population of 1006 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the town is 1290, It is the 196th largest by population in the U.S. state of Colorado. The town comprises an area of 1.23 square miles (3.19 kmē), of which, 1.18 square miles (3.06 kmē) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 208th largest by total area among Colorado.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1006 people in the town, organized into 381 households, and 233 families residing in the town.
