Panama Village, Chautauqua County, New York is a city located in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. It is home to over 491 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population was 460, It is the 98th least populous in the U.S. state of New York. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.19 square miles (5.67 sq km), of which, 2.17 square miles (5.62 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, it is the 506th largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 491 people in the city, organized into 191 households, and 135 families living in the city. The population density was 226.4 people per square mile (87.41/kmē), giving it the 46th least densely populated city among the New York. There were 208 housing units at an average density of 95.9 per square mile (37.03/kmē). The average household size was 2.57 and the average family size was 3.07. The population's age distribution was 26.7% under the age of 18, 5.9% from 18 to 24, 25.7% from 25 to 44, 25.5% from 45 to 64, and 16.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 97.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.5 males. The median age is 40.1 years, the median age of male residents at 38 and the median age of female residents at 42.9. The racial makeup of the city was 96.74% White, 1.02% Black or African American, 0.2% American Indian, 0.2% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 1.43% from two or more races and 0.41% Other races.
