Palmetto City is a United States city located in the Fulton and Coweta counties, Georgia, United States. Palmetto City had an official population of 3400 in 2000. In July 2008, its estimated population was 5053, It is 180th most populous in Georgia. The city has a total area of 5.28 miē (13.68 kmē), of which, 5.18 square miles (13.42 kmē) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 156th largest by total area in Georgia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3400 people, 1223 households, and 882 families living in the city. The population density was 656.2 people per square mile (253.36/kmē), it is the 252nd most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Georgia.
