Palm Springs City is a city located in the Riverside County, California, United States. The city has a population of 42807 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 47952, It is the 178th largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 95.08 sq mi (246.26 kmē), of which, 94.25 square miles (244.11 kmē) of it is land and 0.84 square miles (2.18 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 13th largest by total area in California.
