Paintsville City is a one of the Johnson County, Kentucky, located in Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 4132. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 4216, It is the 99th largest by population in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The city spans an area of 5.26 sq mi (13.62 kmē), making it the 80th largest by size in Kentucky.
