Painted Post Village is a city located in Steuben County, New York, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 1842 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 1779, It is 616th most populous in New York. Its area is just over 1.33 miē (3.44 kmē), of which, 1.26 square miles (3.26 kmē) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 kmē) of it is water, making it the 696th largest by size in New York.
