Page County is a one of the county from Virginia's 135 counties, located in Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 23177 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 24164, It is Virginia's 67th most populous county. The county extends throughout a territory of 314.09 miē (813.49 kmē ), of which, 311.13 square miles (805.82 kmē) of it is land and 2.97 square miles (7.69 kmē) of it is water, it is the 69th largest by area in the U.S. state of Virginia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 23177 residents, 9305 households, and 6632 families in the county. The population density was 74.5 people per square mile (28.76/kmē), it is Virginia's 78th most densely populated county. There were 10557 housing units at an average density of 33.9 per square mile (13.09/kmē). The average household size was 2.46 people, and the average family size was 2.91 people. In the county the population was spread out, with 23% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 28.3% from 25 to 44, 25.3% from 45 to 64, and 15.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 103.9 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 105.9 females. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 24164, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 96.17% White, 2.41% Black or African American, 0.16% American Indian, 0.33% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, and 0.91% from two or more races.
