Pacific City, Franklin and St. Louis counties, Missouri is a city located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 5482 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 7268, making it the 120th most populous in Missouri. The city comprises an area of 5.43 mi˛ (14.06 square kilometre), of which, 5.42 square miles (14.04 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Missouri's 109th largest by total area.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 5482 people, 2166 households, and 1431 families living in the city. The population density was 1011 people per square mile (390.35/km˛), it is Missouri's 406th most densely populated city. There were 2343 housing units at an average density of 432.3 per square mile (166.91/km˛). The average household size was 2.48 people, and the average family size was 3.05 people. In the city the population was spread out, with 26.6% under the age of 18, 9.4% from 18 to 24, 31.9% from 25 to 44, 19.7% from 45 to 64, and 12.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 94.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.4 males. The median age is 34 years, the median age of male residents at 31.5 and the median age of female residents at 36.3. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 94.35% White, 2.92% Black or African American, 0.31% American Indian, 0.38% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, 1.48% from two or more races and 0.53% Other races.
