Ozark County is a county located in the United States of Missouri. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 9542 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 9227, making it Missouri's 23rd smallest county. The county has a total area of 755.07 sq mi (1955.62 sq km), of which, 742.15 square miles (1922.16 sq km) of it is land and 12.92 square miles (33.46 sq km) of it is water, making it Missouri's 21st largest county by total area.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 9542 people, 3950 households, and 2857 families living in the county. The population density was 12.9 people per square mile (4.98/kmē), it is 14th least densely populated county in Missouri. There were 5114 housing units at an average density of 6.9 per square mile (2.66/kmē). The average household size was 2.4 people, and the average family size was 2.81 people. In the county the population was distributed as follows: 22.1% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 22.8% from 25 to 44, 28.7% from 45 to 64, and 19.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 98.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.3 males. Its population was estimated at 9227 in July 2008, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 97.04% White, 0.36% Black or African American, 0.77% American Indian, 0.11% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 1.72% from two or more races.
